The Society runs 3 Schools for Social Development, namely, Shing Tak Centre School, Chak Yan Centre School and Hui Chung Sing Memorial School. The Schools are designed for students with adjustment problems. Services by social workers, teachers with special education training and educational psychologist are provided in these schools. The learning environment is small size class with 15 students, so that attention and individual caring can be provided.
The curriculum adopted in Schools for Social Development includes general subjects as well as practical subjects, with the personal and socialization course being compulsory. Personal needs and individual’s interests are taken into account in the curriculum design, with the hope that our service users will reintegrate into mainstream schools soon.
